Sorry, horrible dog mess question

Sorry, this is literally foul but am worried! Last night coming home from fireworks dd stepped in a huge pile of dog mess. Only saw when we got home. Was all over her boot so I took it to edge of kerb and banged it to get the worst off then cleaned it all up carefully once I got inside BUT to my horror (I still feel sick) when I looked in the mirror there was some on my eyebrow! Sob. It must have flown up when I banged the boot outside. Obviously I wiped it off, then stuck clothes in washer and had shower and washed hair and cleaned contact lenses (I am sounding paranoid now!)but I am really worried some has gone in my eye, and I remember horrible stories of blindness, worm eggs in brain etc. Please reassure me!

Thank you for reassuring me. Really appreciate it. I guess any dog could roll in something and then you'd get it on you when you stroked them and never even know, but to see it on my face was not the best :( Thank you!

This would all then happen if you stroked a dog, who had licked his bottom, and then touched your face!! Would be very common!!

ooh horrible for you!! but I dont think actually getting it in or near your eye would make any difference I think the blindness thing is a side effect of toxicara (not sure if spelt right) which is something only young children can, (and very rarely), catch from the worms which live in dog poo.
