Hi all i'm after a bit of advice please. I was at the doctors on tuesday and got informed due to tablets that I got put on by another dr. I have got Gallstones the tablet saga is a whole new thread lol.

The advice im after is what can i do to stop the constant sick feeling. the dr has put me on a no fat diet for a week and cut out bread and spicy food aswell. Alcohol has also been cut out so basically I cant have anything that tastes good. [hsad]

I have been told that if it gets no better then he will be looking at removing the gallbladder which I dont want to happen really.

Any advice on coping stratergies from anyone who has been through this will be much appreciated. TIA [hsmile]

if you don;t want to have your gall bladder removed then the pain isn;t yet bad enough to ned your gallbladder removed! By the time mine was removed I'd have taken a pen-knife and done it myself Grin

No advice sorry - nothing worked for me, drugs diet nothing.

I had my gallbladder removed this year. Keyhole procedure and 4 week recovery. I didn't want an operation but mine nearly killed me as I ended up with septaecemia.

You will be probably be able to control this with diet but this will not be effective in the long term and the pain you can suffer is terrible.

If the stones move into your bile ducts it can be very dangerous. I would recommend that you are referred to a consultant who will scan you and give you advice.

As well as the above items listed, you should also avoid caffeine.
