PMS worsened by uterine prolapse?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone noticed PMS symptoms getting worse after being diagnosed with a uterine prolapse?

I was diagnosed about a year ago (I think) but haven't had any treatment yet. I keep putting it off as other than occasional discomfort it hasn't been too bad recently. I have noticed in the last 4 months that physical symptoms like bloating and cramps have gotten worse but, more noticeably, I am extremely tired and feel like I'm coming down with a bug and very irritable and cranky the day before I get a period.

Could this be caused by the prolapse? I know I need to go to gynaecologist soon to get it sorted. Thanks for any help

No- not in my experience- no connectio n though the heavy feeling can be worse during 2nd half of month when your oestrogen levels drop, as oestrogen gives tissues support.

Hw old are you?
if you have regular bloating and cramp you need to see dr.

Hi purplepeony. Thanks for your reply. I'm 39. I'm going to the gynae next week.

I always thought bloating and cramping were just part of the cycle tbh.

Hi Iwish,

I've just been diagnosed with prolapse of the uterus. I dont think my cramping has gotten any worse in what was obv the build up to the diagnosis of my prolapse. In fact I only went to the Dr last week cos my period had disappeared (last one was Aug) and I had constant feeling of needing a wee. was gobsmacked at the diagnosis.
How comes you've gone a whole year with out treatment? Im almost in tears with the contant weeing and too-ing and fro-ing. cant imagine this for another year, I'll go bonkers :(

Hope something helps you xx

Hi cowsgomoo. I'm v lucky. I don't have any problems with peeing etc. Everyone who has looked at it (gp, gynaecologist, physiotherapist) asks me how the incontinence affects me and are shocked when I say I don't suffer from it at all.

The only time I have a problem is if I do too much lifting or bending and then I'm v v sore. I wouldn't keep putting it off if it affected me like it affects you. The constant need to pee must drive you crazy. I have just noticed the incease in pms symptoms recently and I was thinking it might have been related to the prolapse. It's probably more to do with stress.
