It's starting up again now that the weather's turning.
I'm wondering if it's worth trying deep heat ointment and using it as a sort of hand cream.
Could that work? Is there any reason why I shouldn't? (I'd obviously be careful not to rub my eyes after or anything).

I wouldn't. I'm not sure why though!

I got some thermal glove liner things, they work really well.

A friend recommended Heatbands. They have a website - heatbands.com i think, and they deliver pretty quickly. They're just sort of papery wristbands, you can get white, flesh coloured or black i think. They really work in that they stop your fingers going white but I didn't find that they stop the pain really. Worth a try though :)

Have you tried ibuprofen gel for the pain taokiddy?

If you haven't already checked the NHS website I recommend it.

In addition, if you like alternative therapies biofeedback (sometimes called autogenic training) has some pretty good data to support it.
