Around 37. I don't think this changes with age like heart rate.

SleepySuzy · 09/09/2005 21:08

Normal body temperatures in a well child can range from 97.7 degrees F / 36.5 degrees C to 100 degrees F / 37.8 degrees C. Babies have higher temperatures than older children, and everyone's temperature tends to go up during the day and down after midnight

under about 37.5, Starlover. I've got a Braun digital ear thermometer and it says up to 38 is within normal range. what's ds's temp?

starlover · 09/09/2005 21:15

He is veryt clammy and not quite himself.
temp is about 36, but only have a strip thermometer so not that accurate

Aww bless him. Has he got any teeth coming through or anything? If you keep him in just a nappy it'll help stop his temp going up if it starts to

SleepySuzy · 09/09/2005 21:20

Infant paracetamol is good for bringing temp down.

starlover · 09/09/2005 21:29

not sure. he;s been really,r eally dribbly for ages now but no sign of teeth yet!

That's what ds was like with his - loads of dribble for ages but no teeth. With him he would wake up screaming in the night - not fun!!

Hopefully that's what it is and he's not coming down with something, poor little chap!

starlover · 09/09/2005 21:37

hmm yeh he has been waking a bit in the night too, although generally pretty easy to settle again... perhaps that's what it is!

Sounds like teething to me starlover, ds3 has been like this for ages.
