DS getting bitten at night

My DS is waking up with bites on him. I am pretty sure they are bites and they are only comming up over night.
The night before last we had a shower together and I dried and dressed him for bed and there was nothing on his skin.
The next morning he had 13 bites on his body.
My husband had spent some of the night in bed with him but did not get bitten.
This morning he has about 3 extra bites.
They are like mosquito bites, but he has had his window shut at night. They are small itchy little bumps. He is not at all inwell other wise so not chicken pox.
I have put his bedding in on a hot wash today. He has had no change of matress or anything.
I am hoping they are somehow mosquito bites and not bed bugs!!!
Any one got any ideas??

Bumping for you, not sure what they could be. Try hoovering his mattress well, just in case there's anything on the bed. It seems like a lot to be mosquitoes, especially if his window is shut.

Cat fleas?

My DS used to be biten by little black spiders. May be you have seen them; they are small and look like they exist without a spider web. They also jump.
Change your bedding regular.
I would also check with the GP the type of the bites. They might tell you what has biten him and what else to do and may be to buy.

cat fleas can be nasty blood suckers. Hoover your mattress as thegrumpalo has advised. Then clean the hoover from dust the same day.

Sounds exactly like fleas. Do you have pets? Or have u recently moved into your house?

Have you been travelling recently?. Bedbugs can travel in luggage.

You need to look closely at the supports around the headboard for signs of bedbugs and look for any blood traces or faeces. It may be that you will need to get the pest controllers in; if there are bedbugs present then they can spread throughout the whole house.

Bedbugs are no respector of persons; they can invade the cleanest of homes.

He had no fresh bites from last night, thank goodness, I guess I watch and wait now and see what happens.
We have not been travelling so if it is bed bugs I don't know where they have come from.
