Jabs reaction

Would you have turned round and gone back?

My DS had his four month jabs, walking up the road his eyes swelled, he came up in a rash and had sudden diarrhea.

Nurse said it was 'heat rash' and looked at me like I was a right fussy mother (yes, it's freezing here too).

He still has diarrhea and is sleeping a lot, but otherwise happy.

Yes! I would also have asked to see a different nurse - heat rash! Hmm Definitely sounds like a reaction to me. If you gave your son strawberries and his eyes swelled up and he had diarrhoea like that they would tell you he had a reaction to them - why is it different for a vaccine?! I would speak to your GP about it and don't let them fob you off! I would want them to take me seriously because it could happen again with his next jabs. There's a form you can use to report vaccine reactions. Hopefully someone will come along with a link for you soon.

You can use the yellow card system. Just google it.

Vaccines are the sacred cow of medicine. Unless your child goes into anaphylactic shock there and then, hp's will deny any problems post vaccine are vaccine related.

Thank You! I feel like an overprotective nutter when I talk to most hcp. He has the same bloody rash when he drinks milk (he's allergic to it!).

The last jabs his leg swelled up to the size of a pear.

I'll google, thanks.
