Mental agility following breast cancer treatment

My friend says that although physically she is recovering well she feels a bit slower mentally than she did before her treatments.

Is this normal? will it improve? is it just a knock on from the exhaustion?

When did she finish the treatment? I know it can take a while to recover. Some say up to a year.

It can take a while to recover and is perfectly normal. I have found it helpful to try and do little mental puzzles each day - a crossword, or sudoku etc. I was DX 2 years ago, and although I don't think my memory/mental agility will ever be quite what it was, it is improving Smile

Especially if she's had chemo it is very normal, and it will get better with time

She only finished in July. She just didn't know whether it was normal or not and it upset her because she notices it but nobody else does.

Thanks for your responses. I will mention the puzzles to her Kurri.
