Avian Influenza ("Bird Flu") risk

Anyone worried about this? My DH thinks we should procure some of the anti viral pills (Tami Flu I think they are called) but they are very expensive and I'm not convinced that that we are likely to need them. But them perhaps I'm a skeptic. What do other people think?

I'm not worried about this.

How's that new baby of yours Uwila?

NomDePlume · 05/09/2005 13:41

This doesn't worry me in the slightest given that a) I live in the West and b) I don't have day to day close contact with birds.

can a small child take anti viral drugs if necessary? Under the supervision of a doc of course. I 'm not worried for myself but for my ds, should the situation ever occur.

That new baby is growing like a weed and of course more wonderful than words can say.

it says on the website that it is only licensed for over 12s

Oh, well there must be conflicting information then. DH said he read 1 year.... unless maybe he read years as months??

Aren't ukmedix one of those bstrds who keep spamming my inbox with viagra offers? Wouldn't touch an online drug shop with a barge pole, tbh. Certainly wouldn't take any antivirals without a doctor prescribing them - and there's no evidence that antivirals made any difference whatsoever in previous outbreaks of avian flu.

Looks a big con to me, sorry

its a sad state of affairs when suspect websites are offering drugs because the govt has enough for only 2% of the population, and they've already decided who's going to get them.
