DD1 has bitten a big old hole in her tongue today, hospital have decided not to stitch and give antibiotics instead. Hospital said "avoid spicy food" but she is unsurprisingly avoiding all food. I've tried offering yogurt, ice cream, jelly, I couldn't even get a smoothie into her earlier. I know the worst will probably be over by tomorrow (but it is a BIG hole Sad) but any thoughts on what I can tempt her with to get her eating again?

I was a bit scared about ice lollies, have you ever got your tongue stuck to one?

Leave it out of the freezer for 5 mins, it will be fine.

Pappy foods like porridge and soup. My DD has enourmous issues with food but will eat a bowl of Quakers if I put enough golden syrup on it.

Thanks for the replies. She seems to living off those squeezy fruit pouches, yogurt tubes and, er, cheese sandwiches at the moment but isn't complaining of being hungry so presumably she's not starving...
kreecher apparently porridge is TOO HOT mummy.
She asked for jelly for breakfast this morning so gonna have to balance between getting food into her now and creating some godawful eating habits ongoing!
