Haemoroids - two years after birth?!

Lovely subject this!

Does anyone else still suffer, even two years after giving birth? My doctor said it's not exactly haemeroids, but 'skin tags' that remain - and that they're unlikely to ever go?! However, I still pass blood every once in a while.

any tips?

Apparently those skin tags can be removed via some kind of surgery (i believe my mum had but declined surgery at the 11th hour). Go back to your GP and ask what your options are - it may be a small thing but doesnt mean you should have to suffer.

Thanks, Vickitiredmum!

Will go and ask. Damned doctors - they never give you the full story!

No - I assume that sometimes they tend to trivialise some problems that they obviously see a lot of during the course of the day, forgetting how distressing the problem must be in the first place for us to turn up at their place of work and submit for intimate examinations!

Im glad im not alone.

I had piles at 34 weeks preg and dd now 15 months and I still have them although not painful anymore.
I havent mentioned them to the GP as ive been there a lot recently with various other illnesses etc and didnt want to seem like a hypocondriac.

I vaugely remember some op where they tie a bit of elastic around them to stop the circulation, this could be a urban myth though.

Hi Kbaby! Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Doctor did give me something to 'keep me regular' (argh!) but never bothered. But I do worry about occassional blood.

How lovely to be talking about this?!
