Removing the sideeffects of eating dairy and how to say off it. Detox tips and general asskicking needed

Ok I know i should eat dairy. I am intollerant. But i am a nightmare when i am stress and forget to take my calcium suppliments which leaves me craving cheese.

I can tollerate up to a point, which is fairly high but pass this point it gets ugly. tummy issues, joint issues, energy issues.

I have seriously overdone it this time and need some tips on how to clear this toxin from my system. what would you recommend for a system detox.

Also how would you go about preventing this from happening. tried charts and leaving tablets obvious and a weekly box that i fill up once a week and then just check daily. i have failed with all of these.

Plus a good old fashioned scaring or boots might just be needed. Blush

Just don't eat it. There are no miracle solutions. Don't buy it if you have no will power. Sorry if that's harsh but it's the truth.

Do you like humous? Dark green leafy veg? Almonds? Brazils? These are all high in calcium.

I crave cheese wildly, so I understand where you are coming from.

As far as I am aware detox is a load of old cobblers. Drink lots of water and exercise and your body will flush the dodgy stuff out itelf.

Abittipsy. it is not as easy as that. There are people in the household who require it for their dietary needs.

Thingone - really not fond of humous or veg. do like almonds and brazil nuts so will pick some up later when i go to the shop. Will using chick peas help or is it something else in the humous? I know we had terrible time to find a humous recipie that didnt use diary products when looking for stuff for ds.

Am training tonight, so will make sure that i drink lots of water today. So run down atm so cranburry juice is on the to buy list Hmm

It's the tahini, from sesame seeds which is the main source of calcium in humous. Sorry you're not a fan - it's my failsafe! I eat it about five times a week.

Other things on my list are
tofu (calcium set)
parsley (can chop into all sorts of things - I add to the tomatoes I eat with my humous, for example)
watercress (I eat most days for lunch)
broccoli
swede
figs
soya milk (fortified eg provamel)

This is from a vegan chart I got from my local health food shop. I'm not a vegan. I eat fish and a little meat but don't know best calcium sources amongst these apart from the obvious fish-with-bones, such as tinned sardines with bones (you can buy boned or with bones) or kippers. I did manage regular tinned sardines when pregnant with my first child but they're not my favourite, so I fill up on humous and watercress. And kippers stink the house out so sadly don't have those often either.

oooh i love seasame seed bread. will that work

Really not keen on soya milk and products, well apart from the custard :) excuse for puddings. Will have a good investigate. need to sort the eating thing out. its all in overhawl here anyway as ds has just come off a milk protein free diet. he got all his calcium through drinking ltrs of soya milk. He has been transferred to oat milk now as it is better for him. Just the others in the house who must have the essential fats found in the cheese etc because cant have vegatable oil. bloody allgeries.

Lots of snack ideas and food basis ideas. Will meal plan tomo.

I don't eat dairy and have never been healthier as thingone says you get better digested calcium from fish, seeds etc. I eat tahini dip on its own. I think the craving for cheese is for salt 'cos it's sooo salty.

ouchpassvodka If you use acupressure around yr eyes and nose it clears that horrible bunged up feeling you get from dairy (alchohol will also bung you up)!!
