and now I can't stop! Blush

the skin of my cheeks is incredibly hot and it won't cool down - I'm not sweating - it doesn't come and go - I don't know if it is the menopause I'm 39 but I have asked someone who says it is different

It just looks like I'm very flushed!I really want it to go away......... boo hoo hoo

Has this happened to anyone else

Could it be slapped cheek syndrome?

Are you still red? Have you looked up rosacea? I suffer from rosacea and take oxytetracycline antibiotics all the time (non-stop for nearly 2 years!). Rosacea can be linked to acne (which mine is) or can just show up as red, irritated, hot cheeks. So perhaps it's that??

Thank you for your replies I really appreciate them. It is a bit better today but still there. I look like a dutch doll!

I hope it is slap cheek but think it might be rosacea. The only thing is that it is a hot flush under the skin with no pimples or variation in colour so might be..... hmm just want it to go away! - sorry to hear you have had it for 2 years jb10 it is really frustrating to be so ...hot.

First time I can get to the doctor will be Tuesday pm to find out but hopefully it will be gone by then

Wish me luck!

Good luck at the docs. The oxytetracycline I've been on for two years really keeps the rosacea at bay so I don't really suffer from the redness and hotness at all now that I'm on the anti-biotics. A couple of times when I've needed to renew my prescription I've tried seeing what happens if I don't take it...and not suprisingly the rosacea comes back! So I'm happy taking it for as long as I need to (apparently rosacea can suddenly stop after many years as suddenly as it started). So don't worry if the doc gives you anti-biotics, they really do help.
