adhesions post c-section - does/did anyone have them?

when i had my second CS (planned after em first time), i vaguely remember the surgeon saying something about adhesions to my baldder from first time, but I THINK she said they had sorted them. does this sound right?
And would i expect more problems? I hadnt had any bladder problems or anything (3 year gap)I am however, now getting some pain, a year after this second one. Can adhesions be investigated externally? is it worth mentioning at the DRs?

sorry for all the questions Blush

No need to apologise for all the questions.

Have had a c/s and likely have adhesions as well as a result. Any abdominal surgery can bring with it the risk of adhesions forming post surgery. These sticky strands can tether organs together.

What the surgeon said originally re sorting the bladder adhesions sounds right to me.

If the pain you have now is ongoing I would mention it to the GP with a view to seeing a gynaecologist. Its not a problem that is within a GPs remit.

I do not think adhesions can be investigated externally. Drug treatment as well will not touch adhesions once they are formed; they have to be surgically removed.

I had 2 c-sections and last year had a hysterectomy and the consultant said he had to unpick my womb from my bladder as the adhesions were quite bad. But I had never experienced any pain with it being stuck together.

sums that up meglet! ouch! thanks nto both of you. the pain I get is not constant but i will mention it next time i'm at the docs.
I'm now feeling slightly nauseous and wondering which of my organs are currently stuck together Grin

it's mentioned as a risk, but I certainly never had them (2 elec CSs)

I think if your surgeon is a bit overzealous with the diathermy then you're more likely to end up with adhesions.
