Can't beleive I've just come accross this today. Looked it up on the internet and it seems just what I am looking for.

Only thing is the cost. Can you get it on prescription? If not can you get more sticks on prescription?

Thanks

not sure how good these are, iirc when they first came out there was unwanted pregnancies all over the show due them not being that accurate.

I think so anyway.

Doesn't it just give you a kind of 'fertile NOW' kind of reading and tells you that you should just use other contraception on that day - eg condoms?

madmarchhare · 01/09/2005 14:33

I dont think so. When I ask my GP about it she laughed me out of the surgery along the lines of it isnt reliable etc etc... so am doubting if the would dole them out for free IYSWIM.

Anyway I did use it and found it very good once got into it, although it does take about 3-4 months to get into your cycle and up to then you get a lot of 'dont do it' days so other methods still required.

er nope I got mine form ebay the stick are £10 from boots, I value mine think it's fab I used it for TTC.

madmarchhare · 01/09/2005 14:35

I think a lot of the PGs were down to people not using it properly.

Seriously though, GP did advise not using it if it would be an absolute disaster if you did get pg.

Hmmmmmm. Ponder.
