Headlice. Ugh. Necessary to wash duvets?

Have stripped and washed the bed linen and hoovered the mattresses. Is it necessary to wash the duvets and pillows as well?

Ugh.

No. My guess is you have been reading American websites. They go completely over the top.

The most important thing is that you treat your kids' hair again in 5 to 7 days time (or whatever the instructions say) to kill off any newly hatching lice before they can reach maturity (and breed). I'm not saying wet combing doesn't work, but you have to be sooo diligent to get rid of all the little critters.

Headrin would be my 'agent' of choice for getting rid of them. It smothers the headlice by coating them with silicon, but it is very kind to kids.

I comb through and have always gotten rid of them by doing that.

But I don't wash duvets or pillows.

No. Wash bedding but not duvets and pillows.

Phew, thanks! Am in Sweden so will see what h brings back from the apoteket.

Not sure if I've got them as well or am just doing a bit of neurotic itching.
