I am not sure which places have NHS funding - as far as I know children are entitled to free eye tests? Anyone know?

Speak to your gp and get referred to your local childrens eye clinic or most optitions will test childrens eyes.

You can go to any opticians to get a free child's NHS eyetest, you just fill in a form.

I go to D&A but I think you can go to any optitians.

depends, my girls were tested by at eye clinic as babies because of family history and dd2 is under the hospital clinic. DD1 however is now tested at spec savers. I think from 3years most places will see them

If it's just to test their eyesight you can go to any opticians as far as I'm aware (just ring up your nearest and ask). I had the DCs eyes tested earlier this year (6 and 8), DS2 had to have glasses which he got on the NHS, didn't cost anything for the glasses or the tests, you just have to fill in a few forms at the opticians.

Ah right, thanks for your replies. Dd is 6 and has been complaining of not being able to see at school properly. So my mum made her an appointment at Boots and I wasn't sure if they did NHS funding.
