(belle scrapes herself up off the floor), you remember that squint I've had for the last week?

Grin Thankyou!
I now have to adjust back to normality having spent the last week seeing double/superimposed images. They said it would take time, Grin

Oooh fascinating, where did they put the needles?

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 12/08/2010 12:05

Haa, everywhere, 3 on my head,in my hands, elbows, all down my back, my feet, legs... I still feel like a pin cushion. I've blogged it all (go to the blog at the top of this page) Smile

Wow - I have wierd neurological vision problems (no diagnosis yet) - I might try it.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 12/08/2010 17:59

Grin Thankyou.

Careful chaotica, mine was caused by MS, I think everything's worth a try but it may not have the same effect for everyone. Have you been to see your GP?

I've got as far as an MRI Sad. I'm busy gritting my teeth for whatever that will show. (Hey - if I'm lucky it might just be migraine...) But, yes - I won't go off and get acupuncture without a bit more info on what I've got.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 12/08/2010 18:13

Is it just eye problems you have been having?

I have written a blog about MS if it's any use (not saying that this is what you have of course), it's on here. I always think people can handle whatever it is that's thrown at them once they know what it is. Take baby steps, have they said what they are looking for?

It's stressful just waiting.

Thanks - I'll take a look at the blog.

I've had a range of sensation problems too, so the GP was fairly blunt (said "we have to rule MS out"... Curiously, she didn't say "we have to rule measles out" Wink). I might have a brain tumour though (oh the fun). Or nothing, nada... (at least that's what I'm hoping). Hey - maybe I don't actually have a brain.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 12/08/2010 18:35

Pins and needles and fatigue is an indicator of MS, it can take years to show up or won't develop into anything. It's an odd disease, different for everyone. My GP was as 'helpful' as yours. Take each day at a time. I was fairly relieved to be diagnosed with something to be honest, I'd spent so many years feeling like crap, it was a relief not to be a hypochondriac.

There's loads of things your symptoms could be, don't assume it's something. Smile

I had double vision for about 18 months on and off. I went through all the testing including MRI 2x. In the end they decided I don't have MS. I thought I'd add some words here as I know what a stressful time it is, in my case I never had a firm diagnosis but it is possible to have these serious symptoms without a diagnosis of a major disorder such as tumor, MS. I also had numbness and tingling as well as twitching muscles. I believe I have migraines but the doctors have not been forthcoming with any help for that.

My GP put me on an antidepressant as he said it works well for his MS patients, not just for coping but actually with some symptoms as well. It is working wonders for me, I feel about 75% better than where I was a year ago.

Glad to hear the acupuncture worked for you belle.

It's good to hear that things are better for you aswel Honesty.

Thanks, Honesty - good to know that I might not have anything serious (that's what I want to believe although I'm trying not to put my head in the sand too much). My consultant (and to be fair the GP, who did get things moving quickly) said it could be migraine. (I never knew that migraine could make you lose sensation in your hands for weeks, but it seems that it can. Confused)

(Having read your blog, Belle, I think I should say publically that my GP is great compared to some of the ones you saw!)
