Teeth grinding giving me heebejeebies

Dd (6) has always ground her teeth in her sleep, but we are currently living in a studio apartment, so I can't get away from the noise, no matter what I'm doing. It is awful, and the grinding is pretty constant! I know she will outgrow it but argh!!

Sympathies. Ds1 does this, too. Sometimes it is so loud we can hear it downstairs by the front door - about as far away from his bedroom as you can get without actually leaving the house!

Earplugs?

God I can sympathise, ds grinds his teeth all night, we live in a flat and no escape from noise either. It is awful, I'm surprised he has any teeth left.

I feel like such a bad mum for not stopping her doing it! I can't bear it! No wonder her teeth look so tiny when they fall out Grin

I asked entist about stopping ds grinding. Dentist said that ds's teeth showed no significant wear from the grinding and that there was nothing to worry about. Better at this age not to make ds sleep with an appliance in his mouth.

Dc1 grinds, groans, and makes lip-smacking sucking noises.

Dc2 snores and yells.

Dh just snores.

I lie there wishing I could use earplugs, but dc3 is the only silent sleeper among us, and I worry that I won't hear him if something happens!

He he he, I shouldn't laugh Pretty, but I know exactly what you mean!! Dp huffs, snores and rolls all over the place (and swears it is me, not him Grin), and dd grinds, talks, groans, sleepwalks and sleep screams! What a family!
