Teeth post pregnancy

Does anyone have experience of teeth drifting out of alignment after having children? Dc3 is nearly 2 and just finishing breast feeding. During this time my lower teeth have gradually drifted now to a point where it's permanently uncomfortable, I can't bite hard foods and I feel it's even beginning to affect my speech (ts, st in particular). Dentist very unwilling to do anything??? Keeps telling me they'll be fine - which they now obviously aren't.

Has anyone else been in this situation? Thanks

Mine drifted, but I assumed it was age, hadn't thought it might be somehow connected to pregnancy, but maybe the loosening ligaments allow more movement.I ended up having braces,(for the second time, aargh) and they came off last year.My teeth are still not completely straight, but they are straighter, and my wallet is much depleted.

Thanks. I shall be seeing the dentist again soon and need to be able to ask about other than "nothing". I didn't know if braces were an option for "mature" teeth (in my case 40). It was he who suggested movement was due to relaxin. However, it's now become a bit of a problem...

I'm 46,I was 43 when I had the braces put on.My teeth had got very gradually more wonky with time, but the movement did speed up in my 40's,and that is when I was pregnant, had DD1 at 41 and DD2 at 43.DD2 was six months old when the braces went on.I had ceramic tooth coloured braces but actually would go for the standard metal if I was doing it now,as I think from a distance the ceramics looked like bizzarre teeth, whereas metal is obviously braces! My good friend had invisalign, the clear plasic gum shield type braces and they are great, but they weren't suitable for me unfortunately,as his were virtually invisible.
