pelvic varicose veins, aches to stand

Bloody agony. Does anyone else suffer? Mine seems to flare up along side my IBS and I wonder whether bits of swollen bowel are pressing on veins inside..feels like I have a ball of achiness in my vagina..aches to stand

It usually improves after a few months of pain but I'm going on holiday in 2 weeks and it's JUST flared up

Any tips? Pain meds that help? My GP was useless and didn't seem to have a clue when I first had problems so have given up there..

I had to wear a pad at all times to cushion it. 2 years ago I had the lining of my womb burnt out for heavy periods, now I'm pain free. It was my womb pushing on my veins and it was 100xs worse at my period. This is no good if you still want children though.

I had this really bad while pregnant with DS2 - was in complete agony and because I was pregnant I didn't like taking pain killers. Support pants were agony to wear because they pressed on the bump too much but I found wearing 2 pairs of pants at the same time a help. It was agony walking or standing.
I was really badly constipated which I think was a factor. My GP gave me suppositories, fibre-gel yucky stuff to drink and some other sweet liquid stuff to try and solve the constipation. Being less constipated did help a bit.
To be honest, I ended up giving in sometimes and taking painkillers - just paracetemol. They went away when I gave birth, but I still get the same ache when I get my period now.
I am dreading getting pregnant again because apparently they reoccur and get worse with each pregnancy.

Yes, they do get worse with each pregnancy...sadly. The only thing I've found that helps is to lay on your left side to allow things to settle but this isn't always that easy with a toddler around to run after.

Maybe look up Pelvic Congestion Syndrome if your GP seems to have no clue to the problem, so that if you go back with a bit more knowledge you may get more help.
I have met someone who had had platinum coils put into some of her pelvic veins because of the severe pain she had, which she said were caused by varicose veins which had cured her pain
