The Breast Cancer site is having
trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their
quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged
woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on
"donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the
number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

I received this email too and did click through - but I did botice it's an American site

I'm still glad I clicked through though I just hadn't realised it wasn't in the UK.

It is genuine - even Snopes say it is.

It does take an awful lot of clicks for a mammogram though (about 58,000) and it is for the USA not the UK.

Sorry, just read Snopes again. 45,000 clicks for one mammogram, approximately 58,000 clicks per day so 1.3 mammograms donated.

Could still be 1 life saved though.

Yes, it is a good thing.

I am confused by cod's posts to be honest. Didn't realise earlier that she has cut and pasted from snopes, yet still says it is bollocks. If you read it it clearly says that it is a genuine campaign, although not a charity. The fact that the company involved raises revenue from the site is no reason not to spend 30 seconds clicking on a link if it means someone in need might get a much needed mammogram.

FWIW, I don't see the harm in clicking, either.

So what if someone is making a bit on the side? No skin off my nose, plus, of course, a click will go part way towards someone receiving a mammogram, from what I understand.

It would be ideal if less clicks were necessary to fund each mammogram, ho hum.... (in a 'that's life' kinda way!)
