Starmer VS Farage.

There doesn't seem to be much debate what a future Starmer Vs Farage power struggle might look like if Tories are wiped out and Farage secures some MP's and wins 2nd distant place.

The snake oil salesman, self interested spivs of Reform getting their grubby hands on power WILL happen if PM Starmer 5 years from now- gives the impression of soft on immigration, the Danes have shown you can be tough on immigration but still have a centre left party in charge.

My own atttitude to immigration is completely out of step with the average person in the UK ( I haven't got an issue with it, see it as positive and think we should have legal routes) but the fact is lots and lots of people perceive it as out of control and that's leading us to one way ticket to Farage as PM and this country truly going to the dogs.

The small amount of total migration arriving by boats needs to be stopped as its a lethal way for men, women and children to arrive here and legal migration needs to be stemmed to cut off the air supply to far right - citizens of this country will have to be 'encouraged ' to work in jobs that enough of us don't want to do, skilled jobs will go unfilled ( we will be poorer) but at least (finally) we can't fucking blame immigrants anymore for every single thing wrong with this country and it will be the end of Farage.

Just as the Social Democrats have killed off the far right in Denmark, Starmer could kill Reform, but he'll have to do some pretty ugly things with immigration to do so, I personally think he's ruthless (and smart enough) to do it to get a second term.

Probably low on people's radar since it's not going to happen this time around. Other things to think about.

That's because it's vanishingly unlikely to happen.

The Tories remain the most likely to be the official opposition and, if it's not them, it'll be the Lib Dems.
