Hello!

I started a thread a few days ago asking who you were voting for (whilst entirely undecided myself.)

Having watched the GED, I have concluded I would like a (unlikely) coalition of Green Party & Reform.

Conservative were laughable. All she had to say was ‘Labour will tax you, Labour will tax you!’

Labour I have to say, did reasonably well but I can’t help but feel it’s a lot of hot air without much action when it comes to it.

I think the Scottish & Welsh national parties did brilliantly and if I was in Scotland or Wales I would 100% be voting for them.

The greens & Reform feel like a good mix of right/left wing and most importantly, CHANGE. But I still don’t know who ill vote for in July.

Thanks for listening!! 😂😂

There's a General Election board on here. You'll probably get better answers over there

Bizarre.

Your mix of green and reform. Contrasting and policy at different ends of spectrum. They wouldn't work together.

Eg. Greens "The party promotes green politics, specifically environmentalism; nonviolence; social justice; participatory democracy; grassroots democracy; anti-war; anti-racism; eco-socialism. On the political spectrum, the party is generally seen as left-wing."

Reform: "Only Reform will stand up for British culture, identity and values. We will freeze immigration and stop the boats. Restore law and order. Repair our broken public services. Cut taxes to make work pay. End government waste. Slash energy bills. Unlock real economic growth. Only Reform will take back control over our borders, our money and our laws. Only Reform will secure Britain’s future as a free, proud and rich nation."

Totally different on taxation, immigration, trans policy and lots of other things.

They'd hate each other 😂

Hi OP, Sorry to jump on your thread, but we are moving it to the GE board where you may get a better response.

Reform are a party of climate change deniers ffs.

Wheresyourvote · 16/06/2024 00:02

@Gladanotthwrteamonesomething it is bizarre! Hence my inabitly to know which way to vote! I agree with principles of both parties, though they are polar opposites. Obviously I disagree with policies from both also. Maybe I am just drawn to far left or right instead of these muddy middleys which seem to bring us no change!

The Greens are nuts
Reform are nuts

That's my in-depth political analysis for tonight.

Wheresyourvote · 16/06/2024 00:35

@AutumnCrow 😂 who are you thinking?

Who am I thinking of voting for? I’m a Morning Star reading old-fashioned left-leaning egalitarian (Peace & Socialism ✌) old gimmer and I have a meagre choice of:

Labour
Con
Lib Dem
Reform
Green
Some bonkers faux independent type who looks like he needs a good wash.

I like my local Labour MP on a personal level but the party’s values are not mine any longer. Same with the Lib Dems - I like some of their local campaigners but their party values are not mine.

Tricky one.

Reform exists purely to make money for Farage. He is the most self serving man in existence. With Boris Johnson a close 2nd.
He is very good at his job of making gullible people vote for him by stirring up good old fashioned prejudices.

This. He is running a business, not political party, and once this election is out of the way (and of course he knows he isn't going to win or become LOTO) he will be off to make money elsewhere.
