My dad researched his family tree early 1960s using the Welsh National Library at Aberystwyth. He got some of it back to 1300 but it gets detailed about 1600.
It's all hand written on graph paper.
I'd like to update it especially on my mother's side.
Should I use Ancestry UK?
And is there an option to get it printed ?
Thanks

I think Ancestry is a good online tree builder. Family Tree Maker is good software that syncs with Ancestry.

@Nomedshere

As Greenpeanutsnail said, Ancestry is a very good online tree builder and it will definitely help you to update and research your mother's side.

I don't know if you've seen it but Ancestry currently have a special offer of £20 for four months membership:

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/c/features?o_xid=141099

But the offer ends at midnight on Monday.

If you want a standalone piece of software (Ancestry works on a subscription basis) then there are a number to choose from and they will generally be better at printing out a family tree.

Here are a couple of links providing reviews of the most common family tree software programs

and

So, I'd say, yes, take at a look at Ancestry (especially with the cheap deal they've got at the moment) and then also think about some other software to print it or to keep it permanently.
