Have you ever found ancestor on two census records for the same year?

I'm fairly certain it must have happened but I just wondered if it's common. I've found two censuses that both seem to make sense.

Yes.
Sometimes at "home" and where they work (especially if in service).
And one case all of the children listed with parents even though some of them were married and had their own homes. I suspected the census enumerater confused them.

Ah, thank you. I once was a census enumerator so know it's very difficult to know the data is correct if the resident is adamant all of his 12 children stayed in his one-bed that night 😁.

Well, at least I've got two sets of data to explore now.

I'm not knocking the enumerators. But back in the day it must have been confusing for the nice middle class men going into very strange working class areas and some accents would have been hard to decipher (both ways).
