Using blackberry as wireless "laptop"

I am a complete non-geek so sorry for everyone offended for the sillyness of my question.

Until now I have always used a PC at home but thinking of getting something mobile that I can take to work wherever I am. DH is going to get a blackberry and having read of people who use it to surf I was wondering what type of use I can give it. Does it come with a word processor or any other software installed? Is there a possibility to use it with any wireless N router (stick) or that sort of thing so it would run under the same bill as the PC at home instead of paying two different bills for connecting? I mainly need to use it for surfing and work with files, (mainly word doc. or PDF). I was hoping to be able to connect it with one of these wireless type of things (although I don't know anything about them) otherwise two internet bills would be too much. If that is not possible then I would be interested to know if I can work with files transferred from the PC to the Blackberry (mainly word doc.) and how to do it.

I know it is a lot of questions and it might be the possibility of them being completely ridiculous, so for that I apologise in advance, I have never used anything wireless but I think it is never too late to learn.

I don't have a Blackberry so can't comment on some questions... but can answer others as I use a Nokia E71 which is similar in terms of WiFi.

Does it come with a word processor or any other software installed?

Don't know... My Nokia does but not apps are mostly for viewing documents, rather than editing them. Such as an Adobe PDF viewer, Office viewer.

Yes, if you have a WiFi enabled Router you can connect to that.

The handset has a built in WiFi adapter, so you don't need anything to add on to it. You just need the WiFi router provided by your ISP to which you currently connect say a Laptop.

If that is not possible then I would be interested to know if I can work with files transferred from the PC to the Blackberry (mainly word doc.) and how to do it.

No idea... you need someone with a Blackberry!
