not sure you can.... unless you wrote it all in html and the other persons mail is set to receive in html

What are you using to send your email? Depending on the editor it might actually be very easy to do and they will make the HTML to do it for you.

Sending HTML emails is usually OK these days. I used to be very determined that plain text was the only real way to go but now most people can get HTML emails. I switched to them a while ago and I've not had any complaints from anyone.

I don't know about others, but yahoo mail lets you choose font/bold/italic/strikethrough etc. Is there a formatting menu of some description?

thisis - Thanks - I tried the HTML but it didnt work when i sen it to myself tho' I have received emails with scored out words before.

One thing you can try is copying struck-out test (created in Word, perhaps) into your email. Sometimes the browser will respect the source formatting.....no promises tho
