I never had any joy with that sort of gadget. I could never find a frequency that was clear and when I did it would only be clear for a few miles and then some other radio station would cut in.

Maybe this is a London thing, or maybe my car's rubbish.....

If you car has a cassette deck then I'd recommend those adapters that plug into it. Something like this:

I have one of those adapters somewhere from when my car had no CD player. Can I find the damn thing anywhere? No.

Thanks

I got one from Tescos, was about £30 but very good. I tend to fiddle with the radio first, find a lot of static and then tune the itrip in.

I have one, I think the make is Kensington. It was useless in Italy with the thousands of wee radio stations but fine in other areas. Mine has two memory buttons so I don't have to fiddle for ages to get it working.

If you can afford £50 get a DAB pure highway - you then get DAB radio in the car, and its a freequency tuner for ipod. Done.

Yeah, we've had every time of iTrip known to man, and it was crap - always had interference from other cars/local radio... one frequency never seemed to do the entire journey.

We use a cassette adapter too now.

I've got a griffin itrip and it works a treat.
