i-Touch Help!

So,am about to go on 3mt trip with DD age 4 and desperately want to fill my i-touch with stuff for her.

Is it possible to load some of her Disney films onto my Mac and then download onto my i-touch?

If so.....how? (pleading emoticon)

Another question......I have my dead sister's i-touch and am desperate to keep all her music but ideally I would like to merge her i touch and mine to save carrying two.

is there any way I can do this? I am terrified that if I plug her i touch into my Mac I will lose all her music.....help! (please)

I think you will probably lose all her music if you do that. Sorry. and sorry for your loss.

Thank you. Losing all her music is my greatest fear-I panic every time I want to download from i-tunes in case I plug the wrong i-touch in......

You can copy music from an iPod Touch using senuti (up to 1000 tracks with the free version). Just make sure you don't sync the ipod with iunes, otherwise it will be wiped.

I use handbrake to copy DVDs to my iPhone.

Don't sync with iTunes, I meant.

SWM-my i touch automatically syncs when attached, and assume mys sister's will also? How do I stop it?

The first time you connect an iPod, including a touch, to a computer with iTunes you should be asked if you want to sync it with your computer. Make sure that you say no.

As for copying music off of an iPod Touch. With the Touch that's actually trickier than it is with other iPods which can pop up as a disk on Windows or a Mac.

There's some talk about this here:
www.ipodrobot.com/blog/how-to-get-my-music-off-my-ipod-touch.htm

I've never tried to copy music off of my Touch so I can't comment as to how good any of those methods are.....

Thanks for all the advice-just terrified of losing all her music.....

another vote for Senuti and Handbrake. Handbrake is fiddly tho and I'm pretty sure you need VLC too if you've got Snow Leopard. But they're both freeware. The very newest DVDs have some major league copy protections in there which try to make it hard for Handbrake, but there's usually a way round - check on forums like MacRumors. IMHO if you've shelled out for the DVD, you should be able to watch it in whatever format you want, whatever that sap Mandelson says....

Now Bear you may as well be speaking Kurdish for all I understand of what you have written but I totally agree with you-I have bought the DVD's so should be able to watch them on any of my "appliances".

Off to look at Mac Rumours...
