As I have admitted on another thread I have a light sabre . I also have Doom and Myst. Anyone recommend any good apps they have found?

Pocket Alan (only if you're an Alan Partridge fan!)

My ds (2.6) absolutely loves it, and laughs every time he hears 'cashback' and 'Jackanackanory'

There are some great toddler games, that teach number and letter recognition (search in games-kids)

I love some of the word games, and also 'yard sale' totally pointless, but very addictive.

Didn't know you could get Myst! Is there Riven too?

Ooh don't know about Riven, will have to search - Myst is very good!

What sort of games do you like? My favs are Civ Revolution, numba, Lux DLX (version of Risk board game), Peggle, Bejeweled, suduko, lemonade tycoon, sim city and stick wars.

Facebook app and Tweetie app both good (latter for twitter obv).

"Aroundme" good is you live in a city (lists nearest ATM, restaurants etc). Rightmove also good if you're nosy!

If you have Sky+ then there is an app which allows you to record programs remotely. Flizster tells you what is on the the cinema and gives ratings, clips etc.

Ocado for shopping. Ebay too.

If you live in London there are a couple of apps which help with planning journeys by public transport.

Urbanspoon gives you local restaurant choices, by rating, cuisine or price. Google and Google Earth are must haves. pUniverse is a cool app which shows you details of the night sky.

Toodledo is a good one for todo lists.

The free checkers app is good. Occasional bug in it but still enjoyable. Can be played with others or against the computer at different skill levels.

The compass for the way it looks.

There are several free e-books.

There are music making apps for children to enjoy. I particularly like the free drumming app and the free piano app.

There are of course lots more, but just exploring the tip of the iceberg for now.

I have Sally's Spa - highly addictive.
