Have invited everyone in my hotmail contact list to be a friend including my parents and out laws who I do not want to see my postings. Durrrrrr.

Is there anyway I can uninvite them without seeming really rude? Or do I have to delete my facebook account and start anew?

Thats what 2 glasses of red wine does to you!!

revise - just to confirm

settings
[drop down] click privacy settings
from list click profile
gives you "basic" tab, with all the bits of profile on it. profile, basic info, personal info, status and links ....etc....
scroll down a bit.

tried clicking on the drop down menu where it says wall posts?

gigglewitch · 28/07/2009 22:57

there are too many sorts of "privacy setting" buttons on the sodding page which is mighty confusing. only go for the one in the top right settings menu and you should be sorted?

KingCanuteIAm · 28/07/2009 23:05

Ah ha, got it, I was skipping straight to wall rather than going to profile first.

gigglewitch · 28/07/2009 23:19

good one. are we sorted now?

KingCanuteIAm · 28/07/2009 23:26

For me, I don't know if MamaG got there or not, most likely she got there a long time before I did

gigglewitch · 28/07/2009 23:31

OR fell asleep first

KingCanuteIAm · 28/07/2009 23:34

Oh no, have got one of my mum's friends accepted my invitation now cos she was in my contact list when the whole world got invited to join my facebook last night!

Mustn't have deleted the link. Now if I remove the connection does that delete her and she will then know what I have done and think me very rude!

Arrrgggghh, am so annoyed with myself that I did this!!

Oh no!

Well, you cnan block her, you will just disappear as far as she is concerned. However, she may know how these things work an realise what you have done...can you go with the idea of changing your settings so she cannot see anything much?

hotpotmama · 31/07/2009 21:03

Yes will do that Canute, ta for all your advice! Very helpful
