Geeky stuff

I bought a computer....built especially...in December and have had nothing but problems since. Can I ask for a full refund even though it's a small private shop?

I paid them outright and to be honest I thought at the time it was expensive.Anyway,i'm not computer-literate but hubbie and bil are and both have told me today that my computer has "died".The shop was aware of a few problems when I first bought it and they took it in and "rectified" the problems. However, I've not really had the chance to use it to its true potential and still i've had problems. Can I ask for a full refund or am I going to have to listen to them pontificating about what "needs" doing etc.forever and a day????

Um, Sale of Goods act applies to small private shops just as much as ASDA. But since you've accepted a repair, I'm not sure you still have the right to reject the goods - although given it's dead, you could insist on a replacement. Try asking Consumer Direct.

Well it wasn't really a repair, it was more something they'd omitted during the "manufacture"(?) of the actual pc.I asked quite alot but also did ask them to tell me first if I was asking too much.
