What's the difference betwen a laptop and a netbook?

That's it really. I have no idea but netbooks look cute and seem to be cheaper

Netbook is a tiny laptop.

There are some that have very little storage, and others that look as good as regular laptops (minus a DVD drive).

Whats a netbook? I know what a notebook is - but not a netbook.

Netbooks tend only to do your interweb/email stuff. No scope for Dvds or word processing.
They have much smaller memories usually.

I want one.

(but only in addition to the PC, natch)

Thank you everyone, I now realise if i go for the cheaper netbook i'd still need to keep this laptop for a few things so pretty pointless.
