OK, If I'm cutting and pasting stuff with lots of different formatting, fonts, HTML, tables etc...

And I just want to, er, de-format it so I can re-format it: is there an easy way to do this? Or can I just do it in one easy step by applying a global format somehow?

Does that make sense?

I don't want to be left with lots of hidden code/formats/HTML links/different fonts.

Thanks.

One easy way to do it is to paste it all into Notepad first and then C+P it from there.

(Notepad is in Accessories among your Programmes)

(In 2007 you can set a 'text only' paste but I'm not sure how to do that in 2007)

Can't you just select it all (Ctrl A) and then format it all in one go in the usual way?

Threadworm · 06/01/2009 16:43

I mean I'm not sure how to do that in 2000

Thanks Threadworm and Stillstanding...

You can format many things with select all, but not remove tables, hyperlinks etc AFAIK.

Will do the notepad thing: that will remove all code won't it?

Yes, it strips out all formatting.

Good luck!

In 2003 you can copy & do Edit - Paste Special- Paste As unformatted text. I think you can do it in 2000 too, but it's a while since I've used it.
