Now when I click on my address bar at the top, I don't get all of the sites I have recently been on drop down, but sites that I visted ages ago.

Can't scroll down the list either.

I don't have any problems with scrolling.

I just type a few letters of the URL or the page title and it lists matching items from my history, then I can select the relevant item. It seems to have some sort of preference where more frequently visited items appear at the top of the list. It took a little getting used to, but it's good.

Also it's slightly more informative about security and has a less intrusive way of prompting to ask whether to save passwords or accept certificates.

Throw in a less memory intensive approach to tabs and I think it's an improvement overall.

Give it a while and see how it goes.

Have you tried clicking on "most visited" just underneatht the back button? MN threads I am on seems to come top or me

I have just dowloaded it as well as a result of the security collapse in IE7...not liking it ATM but sure that by teh time IE7 has been patched I will be used to it and won't want to go back...I quite like the "internet history" though.

If you've just moved to FF you should have look at the available extensions, especially adblock plus. You'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

Also, FF isn't the only available alternative, there;'s also Opera and Google Chrome. Opera's speed dial is quite a neat feature. I haven't tried Chrome.

It took me a little while to get used to the new Firefox as well. What I found helped, was to bookmark pages I went to regularly, so they come up top of the list when typing url in address bar.

Another useful addon is IE Tab for when sites insist that you use IE.

I am getting to like Opera Mini (runs on various Mobile Phone's) Great for accessing Mumsnet on the move!

I like Firefox, but it doesn't seem able to cope with my iGoogle homepage, which always crashes it, so Ive switched to Google Chrome, which is basic, but OK I like the way it has a tab with your most visited sites. The main problem with it is that, wierdly, it doesn't support the Google Toolbar!
