OK super-geeks what about this one?
I have PC and laptop, with the same Firefox browser, but the bookmarks are different. I want to have them the same. How?
Don't want to put them on an online bookmark website as I am scared someone will hack into my bank accounts.
What is the easiest way to keep bookmarks synchronised?
Is there something in Windows that will do this?

You can save them onto disc.
Go into bookmarks, on Firefox toolbar:
Click on 'Organise bookmarks' which will bring up a seperate box.
Onthe top line in this box is a tab marked 'Import and Backup'
Click on 'Export HTML' and select your external drive (memory stick is suitable too, I'd guess).
Then hit save.

To import, do the same process except for clicking on 'Import HTML'
Choose the 'from an HTML file' option and select your location.

Should be quite straightforward.

Good luck

Thank you I will try that. It sounds suspiciously easy

I think Google toolbar allows you to store your bookmarks online, so always available regardless of PC.

Don't use bookmarks for sites where security is important: far too vulnerable to phishing. Always type the URL (hsbc.com or whatever) directly into the browser.

It is much more likely that bookmarks will be hacked on your own PC than if stored online where people are paid to keep them secure. In your situation, Google Bookmarks or Digg.com (which is what I use) is perfect.

Actually I use and recommend del.icio.us - not sure why I said Digg.
