I really want a loud, clicky keyboard that sounds nice for my computer. I don't game but I do type a lot.

Does anybody have any suggestions that are not too expensive?

TIA

I hope I never have to sit next to you once you find one OP 😂

@Foxesandsquirrels Grin

I work home alone so nobody has to hear my clicky clicks!

It's this video that's made me want one

A 'Cherry MX Blue' keyboard costs around £110 or the Durgod Taurus K320 is very clicky and Cherry MX Blue switches are an option, that's around £65, but for me the best bargain is the Redragon Kumara K552 at around £40 to £50 depending on supplier. It has been criticised for being noisy, so may be just what you want.

Just look for any 'mechanical' style keyboard OP. They all make the 'clicky' sound you are after.

Some are clickier than others. The best for me would be the IBM Model M which I think is the classic mechanical keyboard. Big and stable and utterly clicky. You can get used ones for around £100 or new replicas such as the Unicomp New Model M but they are quite expensive, around £180 but one would last a lifetime.

This probably falls into the category of too expensive but I have an apex pro and love it, especially with the custom actuation.

keychrons are supposed to be good as wel but I’ve never tried one. I had a Corsair k95 before which I loved and bought refurbished for not too much.

Unicomp Model Ms are sold by The Keyboard Company in the UK.

Thanks a lot OP! I now "need" one too, that would be so relaxing when I'm working at home.

Mine clicks a lot. It’s also got raised keys instead of a flat keyboard. It’s old style and I love it.

You can get them secondhand for cheap. I do like to recycle things!

There’s one at under a pound on eBay but it’s collect in person. Prob more if you search properly as I just looked quickly.

My DH docks his laptop and always favours this type of keyboard, so you aren’t alone OP. Usually the most basic type of keyboard, but definitely a market for them.

I have a ducky RGB keyboard that not only clacks but lights up in rainbow colours. It was £100 a few years ago.

Thank you everyone.
I am going to look at the suggestions over the weekend and I will update you all with the one I buy

No suggestions but omg this is me! I had a job once temping and one of the women I'd cover was my favourite because she had a very clicky keyboard 😂

I recently decided to upgrade my keyboard setup and found a gem online that fits the bill perfectly. The tactile feedback and audible clicks not only make typing more enjoyable but also more efficient. For someone who uses a keyboard extensively but isn't necessarily into gaming, a good mechanical keyboard is a game-changer.

I stumbled upon https://qwertybro.com during my search, and they have a great selection of keyboards that aren't too expensive. Whether you prefer Cherry MX switches or something quieter like Brown switches, they have options to suit different preferences.
