A true PAYG tariff with credit that doesn’t expire after one month?

I am looking for a very basic and easy to use PAYG phone for a family member.

Try as I might I can only find ‘PAYG’ tariffs where the credit expires after one month.

I am looking for a true PAYG tariff (as it was back in the olden days!) where you add credit and it isn’t taken off you.

Does this still exist anywhere?

In the red corner we have Ofcom, the cartel phone companies, the marketing departments who dream up anti-customer ideas like turning PAYG into a pseudo-contract by expiring unused credit.

In the blue corner we have Mumsnet, CuriousMum1212, and RWG mobile.

What a journey it's been - I bought sims from other companies only to find I hadn't read the small, sorry I mean tiny print...... and they expired. I spent a whole morning on search websites and comparison websites in search of the elusive PAYG sim - nothing.

One market leading comparison site categorically stated they no longer exist.

At my wits end and close to exhaustion I found this thread and I can confirm RWG do sell a true PAYG sim which has no expiry and the icing on the cake is the top up rates are reasonable.

I have 4 and they are brilliant. I need them for buying football tickets so I use them just a couple of times per month. Thanks again.
