Copy-protection on videos

We bought a DVD/video recorder to try to transfer DS's rather extensive Teletubbies collection onto DVD to watch in the car - obviously forgetting all about copy protection on the videos
Is there a way of over-riding the copy protection to make one copy for personal use? I promise I'm not going into the pirating market!

it's called 'Macromedia' protection.. you can buy special inline adaptors that can removed this interference from the output of the VRC to the input of the video..

If you have purchase a combo unit then this wont be so easy.... what make and model do you have.. sometimes there is a remote control button sequence to remove it completly

It's a Daewoo DF 450 1PN - they've already had to send out a disc to update the software cos the videos wouldn't even play without the interference. It would be really cool if there was a button sequence - I could send you all the old Teletubbies videos in gratitude!

You could use a time-frame shifter / standards converter, but you would need to have another video player to use as source.

Another option would be to transfer the video to your computer, then write that digital data to a DVD disc - that may work.
