Very sadly my AV receiver sound system has died.

I now how to find something that will replace it at not too high a price.

I need:
At least 3 HDMI inputs
Component audio in.
HDMI out
Bluetooth

I'd like: 5.1 surround sound.

Anyone have something like this and would you recommend it/the make?

First one I found on Google coat £2000 which is WAY too much!

We bought a new Sony last year that has all that and more. It was about $500. Try amazon for prices. There are also lots of on line reviews.

What's your budget?

Plenty of choices out there from the likes of Denon, Yamaha, Sony at much less than £2,000. You may want to think beyond 5.1 surround sound and consider Dolby Atmos as that seems to be a key development.

Peter Tyson, Sevenoaks and Richer Sounds should have something that meets your needs.

Thanks.

Budget is essentially as low as possible!

Thanks for recommendations of sites- had seen richer sounds but not the other 2.

www.richersounds.com/tv-home-cinema/av-receivers/sony-str-dh790.html ?

Specs say it has Bluetooth but not Component.
Depends how you can compromise OP.

This is the Sony we bought and it's been fab:

Is component audio in the same as a phonograph input? For that this unit would require a phono preamp. I think that's pretty common unless you go really high end.

There's no such thing as 'component audio' component video, which often has 3 rca jacks split into YPbPr and two more rca or phono jacks for the accompanying audio.

Virtually any av receiver from richersounds will have those features, if you can stretch to it, the sony 1080 is decent, but there are plenty of options if you need to prioritise size or other features.

Just out of interest, what do you need the component input for? There may be options to get an hdmi convertor cable.
