Why laser jet? because I'm ignorant about printers and could do with one..l
Laser printers use toner and are ideal for high volume printing. They are the usual choice for use in an office.
Inkjets use ink and are best for low volume printing. They are the usual choice for home use.
Some people complain that the ink in an inkjet printer dries up and clogs it if you only use the printer occasionally but I've never experienced this problem myself.
For most purposes there is little to choose between laser printers and inkjets in terms of print quality. However, inkjets are better for high quality photos and complex images.
Laser printers are generally faster than inkjets, although this only really matters if you are printing large volumes.
Inkjets are smaller and lighter than laser printers, can handle a wider variety of paper types and, unlike laser printers, don't need to warm up when you turn them on.
Laser printers are more expensive to buy but running costs are lower.
