This is as clear as my ds was yesterday when asking about getting a new phone on contract. Only took me 15 mins to figure out what he meant.Grin
Do you mean a router?
If so why not google comparisons. I don't think there's such a thing as cheap. I'm with plusnet.

Reallybadidea · 30/10/2019 21:04

You can probably use your phone as a WiFi hotspot.

icclemunchy · 30/10/2019 21:06

We have one from vodaphone which is a pay monthly cancel at any time type deal. It's £20 a month. I think I can cancel and restart as I like but I've never bothered as now I have it we use it pretty much every month for something

KatyMac · 31/10/2019 11:35

Even £20 a month is too much really

It's to boost my mobile when there is low signal

I mean a mobile wifi box that has a simcard rather than being attached to the phone system

Apparently vodafone do one for a one off payment of £69

Tesco, ee and o2 are clearly the same provider and cost a small fortune.

I googled, maybe you should too.

Reallybadidea · 31/10/2019 12:23

I'm not entirely clear what you're using it for? Is it to boost your mobile signal in the house? Or when you're out and about?

KatyMac · 31/10/2019 13:19

Well when I googled I found a good deal for ee but then despite it being pay & go it turned out to be a contract with the ability to top it up to more

It's for when I am out and about - I am hoping to do markets and use a card machine (which tethers to my phone) and sometimes the signal needs a boost

Have you got a phone shop near you? Maybe face to face would be easier.
How on earth did it start off as pay and go and end up contract? I think I'd have a grumble at ee.
I've never heard anything good about them.

KatyMac · 31/10/2019 14:17

Maybe I'm just bad at googling Grin

Good idea - thanks

Nah! I got confused just looking, never mind actually deciding on something Grin

I've got a mifi box I use in a motorhome. I then buy a sim with data from 3. I get lots of data which costs £60 but you can get much cheaper
The mifi box is huweii ( sorry can't spell it)

Blibbyblobby · 31/10/2019 18:06

If it's low signal for the sim in your mobile won't it also be low signal for the sim in your mifi? Or are you hoping a different network will have coverage where your main one doesn't?

KatyMac · 31/10/2019 22:34

Maybe it's the different network thing - I know people were saying they struggle to get signal
Mind you can't find any markets to go to anyway!
