Every time i switch my pc on i get a "mbs bill microsoft" pop up. It appears to be a bill for subscription to "My sex world - £39.99" (not bloody likely)!

I've run my usual antivirus (norton spyware scan) and its still there arrrgh.

Help, does anyone know of a free download that will get rid of it. tia

Hadehahahhh (sorry can't help it. Tis quite funny)

You'll be wanting this free antivirus client to kill it. It is spyware but it's allowed to happen because you have the blaster worm installed. Don't worry it's quite common.

What is your normal antivirus client?

Avg free is apparently far more effective than norton, we binned norton in the end.

I never allowed Norton to infest my computer in the first place Rantinghousewife but I know what you mean. Norton is quite hard to kill though if you aren't very technically adept, it hangs around like a bad smell!

rantinghousewife · 25/06/2007 19:52

Infest your computer!!lol
Yeah, know what you mean we backed up everything and did a clean install in the end, that got rid of the pesky thing.

I use adaware, spybot and avg- all available free to download off the net. I have never had any problems - do regular updates and run them regularly.

Dh is a computer engineer with his own computer shop and this is what he advises as well

Download spybot aswell, that sometimes picks up spyware that adaware doesn't and vice versa.
