Hi can anyone reccomend a calendar or app that allows a joint cable see be used by two separate iPhones with no account sharing or linking up of anything?

DH and I use Google calendar. We have our own calendars and some joint ones (birthdays etc) and it works well.

We also have google. My husband never checks it so epic fail on his part.

We tried Google but it didn't work.

Why can't you just use iCal?

HSMMaCM · 17/05/2014 22:50

We use google. I have an iphone. He has a Samsung. Also easy to check on laptop.

We've used Cozi calendar. It's good for families as each person can have their own colour and it has Mac and android apps. It's a bit US-orientated though. I still use it to keep track of birthdays but the biggest problem we had was that they only work if you're all committed to using them!

There is something called Our family wizard. It is for shared parenting, so it is designed for both parents to access calender, send messages etc. Paradoxically, I think it would have been more use when we were together than now we are not. There may be a cost attached, I did not follow it up as it seemed a bit too cosy given our difficult separation.

its for me and my business partner so we don't want yo have shared itunes / cloud accounts and want one calendar we can both view and edit. can you do that with ical?

Certainly can do it with Google. I have set up calendars for my Parish Councillors to share with meeting dates on.

littleseahorse · 18/05/2014 05:55

Sorry jingle, assumed it was for family organisation!

Google. You can set it up to be a completely seperate calendar from your personal stuff; ie you can see it and add to it, and allow your partner to do this as well, but he/she won't be able to see your personal stuff.

See here for a better explanation!
