I have created a presentation in Keynote. Keynote itself is fine. Although I haven't really used it before, creating the slides is pretty straightforward. The difficulty has come because, since creating it, the client has designed a new master slide in powerpoint. I need to now apply this master slide to my keynote presentation.

Is there a way to do this?

Having consulted the keynote online manual, I have tried to save the new powerpoint template as a theme and applied that to the presentation. All this did was strip out all the graphics within the template. So either I have done it wrong, or that is not the way to do it!

My only alternative at the moment is to recreate the presentation from scratch! This is possible, but a bit of a pain in the neck. If there is an easy way of doing it, could you enlighten me?!

Thanks!

"You can change a slide’s master at any time. For example, you might want to change a slide featuring a photo from a horizontal to a vertical photo master.

Any style changes you’ve made to the slide (for example changing the font), are retained when you change its master, but you can remove the style changes by reapplying the slide master.

To quickly choose another master for a slide:
Select the slide whose master you want to change, click Masters in the toolbar, and then choose a different master slide.

To return a slide to its theme default settings:
Select the slide and choose Format > “Reapply Master to Slide.”

To change a slide’s master using the Slide inspector:
Select the slide whose layout you want to change.

Choose View > Show Inspector, and then click the Slide inspector button.

Click Appearance.

To apply a different slide master, click the slide thumbnail image and choose a master from the pop-up list."

Thank you very much for your help Molly. I tried doing that and it didn't work so I think there must be something odd going on with the Powerpoint/Keynote interface. In the end, to save my blood pressure, and because I had to get it done, I have resorted to the old fashioned method of starting again and cutting and pasting!

But thanks for replying!
