Does anyone else have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini?

I upgraded from an HTC Wildfire a week and a half ago. I really like the S3 but it's got a shocking battery life. It seems to be the screen which is using up more than half of the battery - I have to recharge it from about 9pm when it beeps at me so I'm getting about 12 hours out of it BUT I'm not surfing the net, sending emails, listening to music. Basically it sits on my desk or is in my handbag most of the day - I send maybe a couple of texts a day, don't make lots of calls on it etc.

[NB: I'm not very techy but in my attempts to save the battery, I've switched the powersave on, turned the brightness of the screen to less than half way down the slider thingy and although today I switched wifi off it's made a difference but not a huge difference.]

What am I doing wrong? Or does the phone just guzzle the battery life every day? Help!

if I do a lot of mning on it or let the dcs play a game the battery goes by about this time. There is a power save setting and turning off wifi and mobile data when you don't need them all helps. But yes, battery life is pretty poor. mine is quite new.

My battery power is poor too, and I use it much the same as you.

Mine is a few months old. Always had the screen at about 1/3 brightness and wi fi off unless I am using it. I use mobile data, calls texts etc all day every day and get a full days charge at least.

For best battery regularly let it totally discharge before plugging in (you can turn it straight back on unlike the I phone) and always unplug as soon as it says battery full. For some reason this vastly increases the battery life. Leaving it to charge over night or for too long also permanently reduces the ability to hold charge over time just like laptop batteries so best to avoid.

I didn't know that about unplugging as soon as it says it's at 100% - I'm guilty of leaving it plugged in all night! I'll give that a go and see what happens.

Most people don't mrssmooth, just like not keeping laptops plugged in but it really does work
