Dead basic computing question? Give me some short cut tips please

I have only just learned (unbeliveably I know) that Ctrl + C enlarges the page.
What other short cuts are there?
Also I have never learned all the 'F' keys do F1 - F12.

I've pressed but nothing much happens.

How funny I use these keys all the time but unless I am actually using them I dont have a clue.

The other thing is I am always making my screen view larger or smaller by mistake on the internet - CTRL+0 returns it to an acceptable size.

I don't know why I don't know these things since I spend most days on a computer both at work and at home.

It also very much depends what applications you are using. For example, as above ctrl+D is for delete, but in Excel, it copies the contents of the cell immediately above.

Some "shortcuts" I like that are slightly less well known are:

alt + D, in a web browser, goes to address bar and selects all text so you can type a new website.

"home" key: go to either the start of a line of text, or the top of a website.

"end" key: go to either the end of a line of text, or the bottom of a website

"windows key" + D, minimise all windows open (press again to bring them all back, as long as you didn't already open new ones.)

Windows key + E launch explorer

CTRL + SHIFT + left arrow/right arrow extend selection to previous/next word or reduce selection (Previously mentioned)

SHIFT + left arrow/right arrow extend/reduce selection by one character

I thought CTRL + ALT + arrow key rotated the screen, but that isn't working for me, so I guess that isn't right
