Pc or MAC?

So ... I m still searching for a family computer. Can anyone tell me if they re are any advantages/disadvantages of MACS v PCs? I have an iphone, my daughters have apple shuffles and ipodtouches.

Which is better?

I have a MacBook Pro late 2011 17inch, I got this many years ago. I wanted to use my old Windows programs, so I purchased Parallels and Windows. Parallels allows me to run Windows 10 (its upgraded as and when required) and all my old Windows programs work.
The only problem I have is with Windows Mail, just doesn't work! but as my Mail does on my Apple, not a problem.
Not cheap I know, but resolved the problem for me.
