Hi,

I heard somewhere that you can buy plugins to do the above. My Broadband signal doesn't reach upstairs, or the far corner of my kitchen which is really annoying.

TIA

Bloss

Yes - I know someone who has done this and solved the problem of poor wireless reception in parts of their house. Something like this should help you.

If it was a laptop you planned to use, then without adding to the amount of wireless (which might interfere with neighbours, a little), it might be that for two particular locations (far corner of kitchen, and one bedroom) then using ethernet cables would be a solution... maybe not as 'elegant' but simpler to set up (no setting up really, should be plug in and you're connected) then three HomePlug / Powerline units such as on *> this

I use a similar one to the TP one -a Devolo. Easy to use and enables me to use anywhere in the house.

We have this due to thick walls ( I assume), I can't get wireless in bed which is a pain.

We bought an extender but it only ever worked intermittently.

The permanent solution was to switch to another Internet provider! We switched from Virgin Media to BT/Sky and voila, we had wireless internet signals upstairs, albeit weak.

Can you get these that help with phone signals? Both my landline and mobile have crap reception?

MadameC yes, Vodafone sold me a gadget for £50. It interfered with the wireless router and we switched it off.
